Benchmark Appoints Don Miller DOS Bedford Springs Resort

HOUSTON, TX, May 12, 2008. Benchmark Hospitality International has appointed Don Miller as director of sales for the historic Bedford Springs Resort, located in Bedford, Pennsylvania. Rikki Boparai, general manager for Benchmark Hospitality at the resort, made the announcement.

“I am so pleased to welcome Don to our resort,” stated Mr. Boparai. “He brings excellent experience in luxury properties to his new role, and extensive knowledge of the western and central Pennsylvania markets. We look forward to his active contribution to our sales team.”

Previously, Mr. Miller was assistant director of sales for Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, the signature property located in Farmington, Pennsylvania. He began with the resort as national sales manager. While employed there, Miller was designated “Sales Person of the Year” in 2004 and 2006, and was honored as “Leader of the Year” in 2003. He was the top producer within the resort’s sales team for nearly his entire tenure at the property.

Prior to moving to southwestern Pennsylvania, Mr. Miller was local corporate sales manager for the Doubletree Hotel, located in Kansas City, Missouri. He started employment with the hotel as bell captain. While at the Doubletree, Mr. Miller was named “Employee of the Year.”

A Pennsylvania native originally from the borough of Fairchance, Don Miller and his family reside in Farmington.
