If someone could "bottle" a blueprint of what will happen in the next decade in the meetings, events and incentive travel industry and how hotels can get in on the action they would be an overnight industry star!
What's coming down the road? What should the business focus on? How can you set your brand apart from competitors vying for the same clients?
What is the "Power of 10"? Though not quite an iron-clad fortune-telling tool, a new study called "The Power of 10" - commissioned by the IMEX Group, organizers of IMEX in Frankfurt and IMEX America, together with Fast Future Research, can offer some helpful and well-founded insights.
"The Power of 10" - also sponsored by the German Convention Bureau (GCB,) Messe Frankfurt, the Frankfurt Tourist Office and CPO Hanser -- is the largest ever global study on the future of the meetings industry. It draws on interviews with over 100 leaders, respected practitioners and change agents across the meetings, events and incentive travel industry and related sectors. It then folds in findings from desk research, a student essay competition, and a global survey of 765 respondents from 68 countries over six continents, weighing in on what the meetings industry - and key players - can do to be successful through to 2022.
The result is a roadmap that highlights key trends and also looks at emerging challenges, opportunities and suggested actions for each part of the 'industry value chain' - including hotels, venues, convention bureaus, agencies, educators, consultants, transport providers and associations.
