LOS ANGELES, CA< September 15, 2005. Kor Hotel Group Takes on the East Coast with Management of Two Renowned Hotels, the Los Angeles-based luxury hotel operator, has extended its artful management skills to the east coast, assuming responsibility of two well-known boutique properties. Kor began management of Tides Hotel, the historic Art Deco property in South Beach, Florida, in November 2004 and of The Jefferson, the AAA Four-Diamond, 100-room hotel in central Washington D.C., in June 2005. Kor Hotel Group possesses a well-established record in the rejuvenation of distinctive destination hotels, forged through a compelling combination of progressive design sensibility and consistent attention to impeccable service.

"We are immensely pleased that Kor's expansion outside of California has launched with such distinguished hotels as The Jefferson and Tides," said John Arnett, president of Kor Hotel Group, "and we look forward to developing a growing presence on the East Coast and nationwide. We believe these management appointments indicate Kor Hotel Group's exceptional presence and growth in the industry."

Over the next year, Kor Hotel Group will oversee a series of redesigns and renovations at each property. The Jefferson, a 1922 Beaux Arts building by Jules Henri de Sibour, will be updated with redesigns of the guest rooms and public spaces to bring back its original grandeur. Kelly Wearstler Interior Design (kwid), responsible for the design of Kor's flagship Viceroy Santa Monica, will partner again with Kor for renovation at Tides, set to commence in early 2006. The anticipated redesign will build on the architectural heritage of L. Murray Dixon's 1936 masterpiece, blending classic Art Deco resplendence with an updated contemporary aesthetic. Work is targeted for completion by July 2006 and will extend from Tides' plush luxury accommodations to the popular 1220 at the Tides Restaurant, Front Terrace and classic Pool Deck.

Tides and The Jefferson mark Kor Hotel Group's first two management ventures outside of California, but not the limit of their recent, far-reaching influence abroad. The newly established Viceroy Resorts & Residences division has begun development on residential hotel complexes on both Anguilla and the Mayan Riviera, targeted for completion in 2008. A timely integration of Kor Hotel Group's residential and hotel development visions, each exclusive resort property will ultimately be home to an unsurpassed collection of luxury accommodations offered for sale and as vacation rentals.

By exporting its luxurious designs and the service hallmarks that distinguish Kor's flagship Viceroy Santa Monica and Viceroy Palm Springs properties to expansive new projects, Kor Hotel Group continues to establish itself a leader in the burgeoning boutique hotel industry.
