Microtel Opens in Durant, OK
JUNE 19, 2007. A new Microtel Inn & Suites hotel has opened at 4617 South 9th St. in Durant, OK, at the intersection of Highways 69 and 75, and adjacent to Choctaw Casino, Choctaw Coliseum, Choctaw Bingo and Roping Arena, and nearby Chickasaw Golf Course. The hotel is owned and operated by James Proctor of Durant, also owner of the local motor cross track.
The newly constructed two-story hotel has 59 single, double and suite accommodations, all with queen beds. Amenities include free local and free long distance phone calls anywhere within the continental U.S.; free high speed wireless Internet access in all guestrooms; expanded cable television with CNN, HBO and ESPN, and complimentary daily continental breakfast. "The Branch Office," a sports bar adjoining the hotel, will open at a later date.
