Benchmark Appoints Director of Sales & Marketing

HOUSTON, TX, June 6, 2007. Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Brett Boreing as director of sales and marketing for Hotel Contessa, the Personal Luxury Hotel, located in San Antonio, Texas. Eric Adame, general manager, made the announcement.

Mr. Boreing was previously the director of sales and marketing for Virginia Crossings Resort, a Benchmark Hospitality property located in Richmond, Virginia. While there his exemplary sales performance, team participation, and strong leadership skills earned him Benchmark Hospitality's ' Director of Sales and Marketing of the Year' award. He has also received the "Sales Leader of the Year' award.
Boreing has served as director of sales and marketing for The Northland Inn, a Benchmark hotel and conference center located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, near Minneapolis. He was director of sales at The Founders Inn, a Benchmark property located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Brett Boreing began his successful career with Benchmark in 1998 as sales manager at Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He launched his career in hospitality working in the restaurant industry, where he held positions of increasing responsibility, culminating in general manager.
Mr. Boreing has received numerous honors for his community involvement and business success, including being appointed lobbyist for the Wyoming Restaurant Association; serving as committee member for the American Diabetes Association, Cheyenne Chapter; and being Mayor for the Day of Cheyenne, Wyoming. He is a graduate of Northwest Community College, located in Powell, Wyoming. Mr. Boreing and his family are relocating to San Antonio.
