Mike Aylmer Appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at The Homestead
HOT SPRINGS, VA, June 4, 2007. Mike Aylmer has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at The Homestead, America's most storied resort in Hot Springs, VA. In this position, Aylmer will oversee sales teams stationed on property and in key markets throughout the U.S., as well as associated sales and marketing activities for the 496-room historic property.

Aylmer began his career in hospitality in 1991 with the opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Center in Northern Virginia and was promoted to the company's New York International Sales Office to handle National Accounts in 1994. In 1996, Aylmer joined forces with three Ritz-Carlton executives to launch Miraval, Life in Balance Resort, a "new concept" resort spa in Tucson, AZ. Within two short years of its opening, Miraval was named the #1 Spa/Resort in the World by Cond'e Nast Traveler.
Aylmer joined KSL Resorts in 1998 and played a vital role in creating the national sales platform during his tenure with the company. After being promoted to Senior Director of National Sales in 2004, Aylmer led the Regional Team to book $60 million in group business for six KSL Resorts properties.
Aylmer will work from both The Homestead and The Homestead's Richmond Sales office after relocating to Richmond this summer with his wife Laura and daughters, Olivia and Sophia.
