Tesoro Resorts Appoints New DOS
APRIL 23, 2008. Tesoro Resorts, a vibrant collection of hotels in Mexico, is pleased to announce the appointment of Manuel Perez Lamadrid to the position of director of sales at Tesoro Los Cabos, effective April 21. Lamadrid brings with him nearly 14 years of sales and management experience in the hotel, travel and tourism industries. In his new role, Lamadrid will oversee the strategy, management and goals of the sales department at Tesoro Resorts Los Cabos.
A seasoned pro in the travel and tourism industry, Lamadrid began his career at Taesa Airlines in southeast Mexico and the Caribbean. He then served in multiple sales positions at Grupo Sidek-Situr over a span of eight years where he increased regional sales by 75% and received an award of service excellence.
Previously, Lamadrid was corporate sales and marketing director for Magic Resort Group. In this capacity, he was involved in creating a marketing plan that resulted in contracts with more than 35 wholesalers in only eight months. Prior to this, he was international business development manager for Avis International, where he managed all global products imported into Mexico.
Tesoro Los Cabos is a 286-room hotel offering EP and all-inclusive options on the southern tip of Mexico's Baja Peninsula. Located at the Cabo San Lucas Marina, the hotel offers a relaxing spa, internationally renowned nightlife and myriad outdoor activities. Lamadrid will be working with Tesoro's Los Cabos team to further enhance the Tesoro experience for guests.
