PALM SPRINGS, CA, April 25, 2008. Owned and managed by Seattle-based Noble House Hotels & Resorts, The Riviera Resort & Spa is currently undergoing an estimated $70 million rejuvenation and is scheduled to re-open in the Fall of 2008, according to Jim Lopez, director of sales and marketing for the resort.

While Noble House will continue to honor the iconic hotel's storied past and grand history, the revitalization is expected to transform the Riviera into the ultra chic, premiere destination resort in Palm Springs. The resort will feature 24 acres of lushly landscaped gardens and courtyards with intimate fire pits, sparkling pools, signature dining and Noble House's award-winning signature spa, SpaTerre.

According to Lopez, once the renovation is completed, the Riviera Resort & Spa will offer the perfect destination balancing business with pleasure. "Whether it's for business, a leisurely weekend getaway with the family, a romantic rendezvous or destination wedding, The Riviera Resort & Spa will offer unparalleled service and a host of amenities guaranteed to please all of our guests" he said.

The resort, which was once a celebrity playground to the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Elvis Presley, will feature 406 luxuriously appointed guestrooms and spacious suites with marble bathrooms, flat screen plasma TVs, wireless internet, separate work and living areas, coffee makers, signature in-room bath amenities by SpaTerre and private patios or balconies with breathtaking garden, mountain or pool views.

Specializing in cross cultural and global treatments inspired by Indonesian, Thai and Balinese rituals, Riviera's 11,000 square foot SpaTerre will feature 22 treatment rooms, a full service hair and nail salon, relaxation lounge and fitness center.

Second only in size to the Palm Springs Convention Center, The Riviera will feature more than 45,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, including 10,000 square feet of outdoor function space. The resort's 20,000 square foot Grand Ballroom with its distinct oval configuration, features a 44'x20'x17' foot built in stage complimented by nine dramatic sparkling crystal chandeliers. With its beautifully landscaped courtyards and gardens, The Riviera will have the ability to accommodate small, intimate receptions and events or grandiose meetings of up to 1,000 attendees.

In addition to offering an array of recreational activities on property including two pools and two exclusive retail boutiques, the resort is conveniently located to some of the area's most renowned golf courses and is within minutes of downtown Palm Springs and its renowned shopping.
