Stephen D'Agostino Promoted to GM Hyatt Regency Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, NJ, April 28, 2008. With an operations and sales background with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts for the past 25 years, Stephen D'Agostino has been promoted to general manager of Hyatt Regency Jersey City.

In his new role, D'Agostino is responsible for overseeing all operations of the 350-room hotel. Hyatt Regency Jersey City sits on the Hudson River with breathtaking views of the New York City skyline and Statue of Liberty.

Most recently, D'Agostino was resident manager at Grand Hyatt New York, responsible for overseeing operations and sales for the 1300-room property adjacent to New York's Grand Central Terminal.

Previously, D'Agostino was executive director of sales and marketing overseeing the sales and marketing, planning, execution and promotions for Hyatt's Large Meetings Network. This portfolio of hotels consist of 21 properties in top domestic and Canadian meeting destinations that are focused on larger meetings and conventions.

Prior to that role, D'Agostino served as divisional director of sales for Hyatt's western division.

D'Agostino joined Hyatt in 1983, at the former Hyatt Lincolnwood outside Chicago, as a sales manager. There he moved into the role of director of sales. Since then had held several positions at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, including director of sales and director of marketing.

In 2004, D'Agostino was awarded Hyatt's prestigious Pritzker award, honoring excellence in the field. He was also nominated for Hyatt Sales Manager of the Year in 1985. D'Agostino holds a bachelor's degree in business administration, with a double concentration in marketing and personnel management from Loyola University of Chicago. He and his family reside in New York City.
