KSL Resorts Appoints Ed T. Eynon VPHR

. October 14, 2008

LA QUINTA, CA, June 4, 2008. California-based KSL Resorts has tapped Ed Eynon, one of the service industry's leading human resources executives, as Vice President of Human Resources. A 26-year industry veteran, Eynon joins KSL Resorts from The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated, where he served for five years as senior vice president of human resources. For four years prior, he was senior vice president of human resources and international relations for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. There, Eynon was responsible for raising, preparing and engaging a total workforce of 50,000 - one that has been called the best ever assembled for an Olympic Games.

At KSL Resorts, which owns and manages a number of iconic hotels and resorts across the U.S., Eynon is responsible for creating and driving "best in class" human resources operations throughout the organization, from identifying and attracting top industry talents to raising service levels and positioning the KSL Resorts workforce for sustained growth.

"Ed has steered the human resources operations for some of the nation's fastest-growing companies and organizations, with stellar results," said Arthur L. Berg, KSL Resorts' vice president of marketing. "We're pleased to welcome him as a strategic partner to the KSL Resorts team, and look forward to his invaluable contributions."

Eynon's impressive resume also includes leadership roles at four top-ranked national organizations: Hollywood Entertainment, Convergys, American Woodmark Corporation, and Golden Corral Corporation. He has been recognized for career achievements with several prestigious awards, most recently including honors as the 2007 Executive of the Year from the National Human Resources Association, Ventura County. In 2004, he earned the Founder's Award for outstanding contributions at The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated, and in 2002, he was awarded the Olympic Order from the International Olympic Committee.

Active in professional and community organizations, Eynon has served as a board member for the Oscar and Evelyn Overton Foundation, for Utah-based Enable Industries, and as a business advisory committee member for Lord Fairfax College in Virginia.

He is a magna cum laude graduate of Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications, and has CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification.
