Hospitality School at MSU Elects New Alumni Association Officers
Marc J. Gordon and Mary Ann Ramsey Named Chairman of the Board and President Respectively
EAST LANSING, MI, June 27, 2008. Leadership of the Alumni Association of The School of Hospitality Business passed to new officers at meeting of the Alumni Association Board of Directors.
New officers include:
---| Marc J. Gordon (MBA '73), Chairman of the Board, President & Chief Executive Officer of the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association
---| Mary Ann Ramsey (BA '75), President, Owner & President of Betty Maclean Travel, Inc.
---| Ken Weber (BA '77), Vice President, President of Weber's Inn and Restaurant
---| Ron Cichy (BA '72, MBA '77), Secretary/Treasurer, Director at The School of Hospitality Business
---| Mike Murray (BA '81), Chairman Emeritus, Senior Vice President of Operations at Sage Hospitality Resources
The gavel was passed to the new officers at the Board meeting on May 19, and they joined Chairman Emeritus Richard Farrar (BA '73), vice president, Owner & Franchise Services with Marriott International, Inc., in presiding over that evening's Annual Gathering of Leaders honoring Emerging Alumni of the Year Jeff Anderson (BA '90) and Brad Cance (BA '89); 2008 Honorary Alumnus of the Year Robert J. Habeeb; and 2008 Alumnus of the Year Mike Murray.
