Salish Lodge & Spa Names New Director of Sales

SNOQUALMIE, WA, June 17, 2005. Salish Lodge & Spa, a romantic mountain retreat 30 minutes east of Seattle, has named Carl Meyer as director of rooms. In his new position, Meyer will oversee the reservations, engineering, activities, front desk and housekeeping departments.

Meyer's extensive hospitality background most recently included serving as director of operations at the Statler Hotel, operated by Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration, in Ithaca, New York. He was previously director of rooms at Ojai Valley Inn and Spa in Southern California, where he was part of the hotel's $70 million renovation project. Meyer has also served as rooms division manager at Salish Lodge and the Lodge at Pebble Beach, where he managed the PGA's AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro- Am. He also has eight years of management experience with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, including the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago and the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas.

A native of Diablo, Calif., Meyer graduated from the University of California Irvine with a bachelor's degree in psychology and received a bachelor's degree in hotel administration from the University of Nevada.
