The Resort at The Mountain to host fun and festive New Year's Eve Party

WELCHES (Mt. Hood), OR - December 6, 2010 - The Resort at The Mountain, a premier Oregon spa, ski and golf destination located along the western slope of Mt. Hood, invites guests to eat, drink and be merry at its family-friendly New Year's Eve celebration, complete with food, a DJ and party favors, Friday, Dec. 31.

“We're hosting a fantastic party on New Year's Eve,” said Frank Casarez, general manager of The Resort. “With lots of great food and fun for the entire family, this is a great way to welcome 2011.”

Executive Chef Paul Bosch and the culinary team from The Resort's Altitude restaurant will prepare an elaborate New Year's Eve Buffet with Northwest favorites including assorted smoked fish, Dungeness crab legs, oyster bar, pork tenderloin with pear and cherry chutney, macaroni and cheese made with Oregon cheeses, and assorted pastries and desserts. The New Year's Eve Buffet is $36 per person and reservations are encouraged. After 10:30 p.m., the party will be adults only, but a separate recreation and game room will be available for children throughout the evening. An enhanced lounge menu will be available at the Altitude bar and in the hotel lobby throughout the evening.

On New Year's Day, a The Resort will serve a Champagne Breakfast Buffet from 7 a.m. to noon at Altitude. The Champagne Breakfast Buffet is $15 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-13.

The New Year's Eve overnight package starts at $249 and includes dinner buffet, champagne toast and comfy guest room accommodations for two, complete with signature amenities such as a Simmons® Beautyrest Black® Beverly Hills™ memory foam bed wrapped in luxury linens, Green Natura bath products, high-speed Internet access and complimentary copy of USA Today .
