Knowland Hires Director for Event Booking Center

Experienced Call Center Manager to Lead EBC in Proactive Outbound Sales for Clients

McLean, VA - December 15, 2010 - The Knowland Group, a leading provider of business development solutions for the hospitality industry, has recently hired a new Director of Call Center Services for their Event Booking Center. Larry Sterling's background in managing business development call centers will serve Knowland well as the EBC continues to experience high levels of client and employee growth.

Sterling comes to Knowland with more than 10 years experience as a call center and operations manager. Since 1994 he has been responsible for overseeing multiple call centers in Salisbury, Md., managing over 1,000 telephone professionals. Most recently he was Operations/Products and Account Manager for 1-800-BARNONE.

As the new head of the Event Booking Center, Sterling will oversee Knowland's ever-growing number of hospitality telephone researchers and sales professionals. The EBC has recently moved to a 250-seat location in response to increased demand for Knowland's business development solutions, especially the newly-launched Professional Business Development (PBD) service. Sterling's experience managing large call centers will be invaluable as Knowland begins to fill this new space.
