Gettys Demonstrates Success in Fulfillment

JANUARY 23, 2007. Innovative Integrated SolutionsTM Model Streamlines Projects CHICAGO - January 24, 2007 - Renovations of hotels, resorts and conference centers come complete with tight timelines, strict budgets, and an eye on both a refreshed guest experience and a return on investment. Hospitality design firm Gettys decided that the entire renovation process, from design to fulfillment, could use a streamlined approach that allowed them to partner with clients and deliver a single source that saved clients time, money, and risk.

Last year, Gettys put Integrated SolutionsTM, their proprietary fulfillment offering, to use for a key client. The University Place Conference Center & Hotel on the downtown Indianapolis campus of Indiana University turned to Gettys to renovate their International Association of Conference Centers property.

Integrated SolutionsTM simplifies the complex purchasing process by shifting all of the risks for product pricing, delivery and quality from the client to Gettys and establishing budgets early in the design process to eliminate guesswork.

Gettys acts not as a middleman, but as a direct wholesaler, working with their network of vendors to deliver high quality products directly to their clients while taking on the responsibilities of credit, logistics and freight management, and accounting and invoicing - all under one roof. And with their two decades of experience and an award-winning design practice, Gettys can leverage all of their resources to ensure a faster, more streamlined process from start to finish.

For University Place Hotel, Gettys focused on executing a distinctive, sophisticated, and 'hip' renovation that would continue to earn the property its moniker as "An Environment for Achievement".

Working closely with the University's architectural teams, both internal and external, Gettys seamlessly renovated the restaurants, gathering areas, and guestrooms. The design had to reflect the architectural presence established by the university's campus, and the surrounding urban culture and riverfront restoration of downtown Indianapolis.

The ultimate achievement was Gettys' ability to deliver outstanding and distinctive design on a strict budget and schedule that kept the hotel open during the renovation process. Gettys' attention to detail, extensive documentation expertise, and efficient and sensible Integrated SolutionsTM approach ensured that the final design was executed flawlessly, on time and on budget. The best testament to the success of the project is from John Short, Assistance Vice Chancellor, IUPUI:

"University Place is poised to maintain and enhance its standing as a leader in executive conference centers for decades to come - thanks in large part to the amazing partnership with Gettys."
