Country Inns & Suites Celebrates 20th Year

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, Jamuary 30, 2007. Carlson Hotels Worldwide wrapped up 2006 with record revenue growth for its select service brands of Country Inns & Suites By Carlson(R) and Park Inn. In 2007, Country Inns & Suites celebrates 20 years of country hospitality, and Park Inn is experiencing its resurgence in North America. With the addition of several new properties in 2006, and many additional hotels slated to join the brand in 2007, Park Inn continues to expand rapidly in Europe, the Middle East and Africa with more than 60 hotels currently in operation.

Country Inns & Suites is known for its consistently high quality accommodations and personal, warm hospitality. Country Inns & Suites will celebrate its 20th milestone throughout 2007 by offering special rates and spotlighting reunion destinations. Each Country Inns & Suites hotel features classic architecture and a home-like interior design, including a cozy and welcoming lobby, hardwood flooring, comfortable seating around a lobby fireplace and front porch, as well as a recreational area offering a heated pool, whirlpool and fitness center.

Country Inns & Suites feature complimentary breakfast, in-room hair dryer, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, weekday morning newspaper and complimentary High Speed Internet Access. Most hotels offer guest rooms equipped with microwaves and refrigerators.

Park Inn, which was acquired by Carlson Hotels Worldwide in 2000, operates 83 hotels in 11 countries worldwide. The Park Inn brand features the dramatic use of color, textures and patterns creating an inviting and updated environment.

Carlson Hotels is aggressively promoting its brands in 2007 through several innovative marketing campaigns. In Canada, Carlson hotels are celebrating Phenomenal Women, while contributing to women's cancer research. The Phenomenal Woman Getaway Package, available from January 7 to April 15, 2007, includes one night accommodation at any of Carlson's Canadian locations, breakfast, plus a special gift bag for each of two guests staying in the same room.
