ADD Inc Miami Unveils Redesign of the Shelborne South Beach Ballroom

. June 29, 2011

Miami, FL - June 28, 2011 - A modern yet sophisticated venue, the architecture firm ADD Inc Miami redesigns the Shelborne South Beach's 5,000 square-foot historic ballroom. Lead architect and designer Jonathan Cardello brings decadence to the space with linear crystal chandeliers and pendants and white marble throughout. To capture the Shelborne's original MiMo-style diamond façade, Cardello implemented custom designed carpeting with diamond patterns and outlines of abstract floral motifs and slivery toned ceilings with acoustic panels shaped in a similar fashion.

The renovated Shelborne ballroom, which was once home to Miss Universe and Miss USA pageants and popular jazz orchestras, is a component of the hotel's current multi-million dollar facelift and 70th anniversary celebration. ADD Inc Miami complements both factors of dark and light throughout the space incorporating walls finished in Carrera white marble against a backdrop of charcoal gray. A pair of elegant bars in Carrera white marble with flowing white sheer drapery and a sound system by renowned Steve Dash Audio, makes the ballroom the ultimate venue for fashionable South Beach-style celebrations, weddings, banquets and nightclub scenes.

The Shelborne's ballroom can be sub-divided into two separate rooms or combined into one large area that can accommodate up to 700 people reception style. ADD Inc Miami also revamped the Shelborne's other stylish meeting rooms located in the hotel's lobby mezzanine and conference level.
