Scandinavian RevPAR Picks Up

. October 14, 2008

JANUARY 31, 2007. December results for Scandinavia show an improvement in performance on the same month last year, with RevPAR up 9.1% driven largely by Average Room Rates (ARR) which increased by 7.4% to EUR100.12 from EUR93.24 in December of last year.

Occupancy saw a more modest improvement rising from 50.5% to 51.3%.

Scandinavia Year End results show a rise in RevPAR of 8.4% generated from a balanced increase in Average room rates and Occupancy.

James Chappell, Managing Director of The Bench commented "Scandinavia saw average room rates for 2006 surpassing the EUR100 mark and a continued growth in room rates is expected in the New Year.

The capital cities should also be seeing some growth in Occupancy in 2007 with demand for Conference and city-wide Events continuing to influence the results of the individual cities."
