Meridian Capital Arranges Financing for International Village at Chamblee

. October 14, 2008

FEBRUARY 5, 2007. Meridian Capital Group recently arranged a $15,500,000 construction loan for the acquisition and horizontal development of the International Village at Chamblee, a 500,000 square foot mixed-use project located on Chamblee-Tucker Road. Alex J. Katz of Meridian's Texas office negotiated on behalf of the Archetype Development Group, LLLP, to secure a three-year, private money, interest-only loan.

Designed to attract workers, families, visitors and conventioneers from the metropolitan Atlanta area, the property will house offices, sidewalk cafes, specialty shops, hotel rooms, an amphitheater and public space. A full-time events coordinator will be hired to plan activities including entertainment shows, artist markets, and celebrations and to coordinate events with Chinatown, Plaza del Sol, a Latin Village, Antique Row and the City of Chamblee.

Chamblee, GA is located in DeKalb County, the most urban and diverse in Atlanta. While the city maintains its small town appeal, its proximity to downtown and the surrounding areas of Buckhead, Brookhaven, Dunwoody and Briarcliff make it an ideal location for development.
