Sol Meli'a Opens New Hotel in Chile

MARCH 26, 2007. Sol Meli'a launched its first resort in Chile with the opening of its new hotel in Puerto Varas, the Meli'a Patagonia. The elegant, 91-room hotel was designed by architect Jos'e Domingo Penha Fiele.

Most of the hotel's rooms provide scenic lake views in one of the most well-known tourist areas of the country. Each room is decorated with original handmade furniture and equipped with WiFi Internet connection, plasma-screen TV and two telephone lines. Additional hotel facilities include a fitness area, heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and massage rooms.

Meli'a Patagonia also features amenities for children with a game room outfitted with TVs, board games, computers, videogames and other games.

The food service at the Meli'a Patagonia will be supervised by Rodrigo Jofre, Santiago Chile's "2005 Chef of the Year". Two restaurants with capacity for more than 100 will delight guests with traditional Mediterranean and Chilean dishes.

In addition, the hotel offers an incomparable setting for business events. The Meli'a Patagonia has four meeting rooms that hold up to 1,000 guests, allowing the resort to cater to a wide range of meetings and events.
