. June 07, 2016

BARBADOS, CR. June 7, 2016 - In July 2016 Elegant Hotels Group will unveil the newest addition to the family with a distinctive new All Inclusive concept for Barbados. With a focus on wellness and mindfulness, the redesigned Waves Hotel & Spa will go beyond the expectations of guests, with complimentary spa treatments included on top of the luxury accommodation and exquisite dining options.

Set on the platinum west coast, the 70 room hotel is the third All Inclusive property for the group and welcomes couples, families and friends looking for a laid back vibe with truly Bajan accents. From the plethora of cultural and artistic activities available to the sumptuous freshly prepared local dishes, Waves Hotel & Spa promises guests a stylish oceanfront setting where they have the opportunity to unwind and relax.

Lead in rates

Elegant Hotels is celebrating the opening of the new hotel by offering guests an exclusive 40% off all rooms, starting from £108 (US $159) per person per night based on two people sharing a Guest Room on an All Inclusive basis and includes up to four complimentary spa treatments per adult per stay*.

The package

DialAFlight is offering seven nights in a Pool View Spa Guest View Room at Waves Hotel & Spa on an All Inclusive basis from £1,199pp. This great opening offer includes a 40% saving of £700, up to four free spa treatments per stay as well as direct flights with Virgin Atlantic from London Gatwick departing 1 Sep - 13 Oct 2016. The Spa

The Spa at Waves Hotel & Spa will feature Elemis products and treatments as well as a sauna, steam room and mani-pedicure station.

The spa's signature treatment, The Waves Bespoke Ritual spa package, uses the island-grown grapefruit to repair and invigorate the skin. Originating in Barbados, and the signature scent of the new hotel, the grapefruit's natural properties leave the body energised and revitalised. The menu also includes an exotic Frangipani Salt-Glow Massage, using extracts from the tropical flower native to the Caribbean, and a nourishing Lime and Ginger Salt Scrub, blending sea salt with Kukui, Camelia and Jojoba oils crushed together with Lime peel and fresh Ginger.

Guests can enjoy up to four* complimentary, invigorating treatments per person, much needed after a day of stand-up paddle boarding or snorkelling with turtles.

Locale

Located in the picturesque parish of St. James, on the platinum west coast of the island, the four-star hotel has 70 eco-chic bedrooms, including 43 ocean view rooms overlooking the sparkling Caribbean Sea and a prime beachfront location. Close to a number of lively Bajan bars and restaurants, in the areas of Holetown and Bridgetown, the hotel has several al fresco communal spaces, perfect for lounging and socialising with fellow guests. Cabanas and daybeds make for an ideal place to enjoy quality time with family and friends whatever the hour, from daytime swimming to sunset drinks.

Dining

Waves Hotel and Spa will offer all-inclusive dining, with two restaurants and a signature coffee bar and deli. The restaurants, Seascape and Shiso, will follow Mediterranean and Asian Fusion menus featuring seasonally inspired and freshly prepared cuisine, while the coffee bar and deli, Kýma, will serve artisanal hot drinks and 'grab and go' snacks. The hotel will also be included in the group's 'dine around' programme, which allows guests to experience and enjoy full exchange dining at either of the other All Inclusive properties, Crystal Cove and Turtle Beach as well as the other non-All Inclusive sister properties Tamarind and Colony Club.**

Design

Each room has been designed using natural textiles with earthy organic tones to complement the stunning ocean views. Rooms feature Bluetooth speakers and multi-device charges and for those who want to disconnect, there are yoga mats and plush bathrobes in all the rooms. The premium oceanfront rooms also provide a fully stocked minibar.

Open communal spaces invite guests to lounge and mingle in the heart of the open air lobby and bar area. With a bar overlooking the ocean and pool cabanas and loungers that convert from day to night relaxing areas, the spaces are designed to allow guests plenty of ways to be 'at once alone and together'.

Extras included in the stay

As part of the Elegant Hotels offering, all stays at the hotel include Wi-Fi, a full range of motorised and non-motorised water sports, beach and pool ambassador service, water taxi (along west coast) and 'dine around' programme offering access to 15 new restaurants and bars at select sister properties, as well as fitness classes including yoga and Pilates, kickboxing and a range of on resort activities and live entertainment.

Waves Hotel & Spa will feature signature themed events for guests to get a real understanding of the Bajan way of life, with mixology sessions, rum tastings, local music nights and culinary events.
