The tour also provides little known secrets, anecdotes, archival material and other interesting insights, rounding out the cultural experience. Groups can opt for the audio tours which use state-of-the-art audio devices and headsets along with a map of the terminal or for the guided tour with an experienced docent. Tours last from 30 to 75 minutes based on a choice of a “local” or “express” tour. Grand Hyatt New York has partnered with One World Observatory, the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, to offer discounted tickets for groups. The immersive experience includes a walk-through video montage featuring heartfelt true stories of the men and women who built One World Trade Center; a sky pod elevator showcasing an immersive virtual time-lapse of over 500 years of New York City evolution as it rises to the top; spectacular panoramic skyline views from the 100th floor Main Observatory deck; the Observatory Sky Portal, a clear, 14-foot glass disc with views onto the city 100 stories below; and three dining venues, each with its own distinct venues and unparalleled views.
