Eva Sheridan to Helm Human Resources at Main Street Hospitality

. April 26, 2017

STOCKBRIDGE, MA. April 26, 2017 - Sarah Eustis, CEO of Main Street Hospitality Group (MSHG), announces that Eva Sheridan, former senior human resources officer at MountainOne Financial, has been appointed Vice President of People and Human Development.

“As Main Street continues to evolve into a leading operator and developer of independent hotels, Eva will be a positive force in our business,” said Eustis. “We are thrilled to have her join us. Her natural hospitality, love of people, deep experience and understanding of our company make this a great mutual fit,” she continued.

In this newly created strategic role, Sheridan will be responsible for the management and development of human capital across all Main Street properties and the corporate team. She will work closely with Eustis, Main Street leadership and property teams to optimize infrastructure, as well as set direction for growth and development. In addition to day-to-day oversight of recruiting top talent, orientation, compensation, benefits, and recognition, Sheridan will also lead Main Street's community affairs efforts, including engagement in relevant community organizations.

“While this is a bit of a homecoming for me, it is an auspicious time to be joining Main Street Hospitality as the company is at the juncture of exciting growth opportunities,” said Sheridan. “I'm really looking forward to working closely with Sarah and the leadership team in an entrepreneurial environment that always has and always will put people first.”

This marks a return to the Red Lion Inn for Sheridan: her job was as a chambermaid in 1983, then joined the team full-time as a server in 1993 at the then-named Jack's Grill. She rapidly moved up to manager before she helped create the first HR department and became the director of human resources from 1998 to 2004.

Sheridan started her career at MountainOne Financial as director of human resources in 2005, and ascended to SVP senior human resources officer in 2013. While there she had oversight of all key human resources efforts and worked closely with the CEO as part of the leadership team.

An active and involved member of the Berkshire community, she currently serves as President & Chair of the Berkshire County Regional Employment Board, Vice Chair of 1 Berkshire Strategic Alliance, Secretary of the Berkshire Hills Youth Soccer Club, Governor of the Stockbridge Golf Club Board of Governors, and has had senior roles on a number of other community boards, including Chair of the Berkshire Visitors Bureau Board of Directors, and a member of the Stockbridge Properties Commission, the Hospice Care in the Berkshires Board of Directors and the Berkshire Leadership Program Steering Committee.

A graduate of Mount Holyoke College, Sheridan has a Masters of Arts in Human Resource Development from American International College, Springfield, MA. She lives in Stockbridge with her husband and two daughters.
