Riviera Maya, Mexico

. October 14, 2008

DALLAS, TX, January 16, 2008. Developer JMJ Hospitality announced today the opening of the Rosewood Mayakob'a located in Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. The 128-suite luxury hotel is situated along a mile of white-sand beach on the Riviera Maya in the heart of a 1,600-acre luxury resort enclave located 30 minutes south of Canc'un and north of the charming seaside village of Playa del Carmen. JMJ owns the hotel along with Obrascon Huarte Lain (OHL) of Spain.

"Rosewood Mayakob'a promises to be one of Mexico's premier destinations where ocean, jungle and sky meet," said Timothy Barton, President and CEO of JMJ. "It is a unique resort experience that delivers a rare luxury known as the Rosewood tradition of excellence."

Another distinction of the Rosewood Mayakob'a is the resort covers many small islands surrounded by a mangrove jungle. Using indigenous materials such as Yucat'an limestone and renewable woods, the design emphasizes chic simplicity. The spa is on a private island and surrounds a cenote of natural limestone pool fed by subterranean springs. The beach offers Caribbean blue water and borders the second largest coral reef in the world. Guests have access to all features of the Mayakob'a property, including the championship 18-hole Greg Norman golf course and lectures on ancient Mayan culture and the Yucat'an ecosystem.

As owner and developer of Rosewood Mayakoba along with OHL Group of Spain, JMJ has created another singular experience. Located on the Mexican Riviera Maya, this resort consists of 32 full-ownership villas and 128 spectacular rooms. Overlooking a championship Greg Norman golf course, the resort is operated by Rosewood Hotels and Resorts. The 120 guest rooms sit on small islands in Mayakoba's network of crystal-clear lagoons. Each room has its own dock, where a lancha, a teakwood boat with a thatched roof, arrives to transport guests to the beach, spa or restaurant.

As the Rosewood Mayakob'a opens, another JMJ-developed Rosewood Hotel is emerging in Dubai. Breaking ground this month is the Rosewood Dubai International Financial Centre, a luxury hotel with 190 guest rooms, including 37 suites all with Rosewood's famed white-glove Butler Service. The hotel will offer fine dining, a gala ballroom, state of the art business center and the luxurious Rosewood Spa with rooftop pool and fitness center. Expected to open in late 2009, the development will also include one of Dubai's most luxurious new offerings - 55 Rosewood branded and managed condominium residences.

"We've partnered with Rosewood on many projects and there is just no one who does ultra-luxury better," said Barton. "The Rosewood Dubai is certain to garner immediate elite status given its spectacular design and location in one of the most lavish and dynamic business and leisure markets."

The Rosewood Dubai is part of the $435.4 million mixed-use development known as The Buildings by Daman. The project consists of dual 65- and 23-level interlocking towers that include 1.6 million square feet of built-out space. The hotel will be in the larger tower, starting on the 18th floor, and include an 18,000 square foot rooftop destination spa, more than 18,000 square feet of banquet space and two restaurants.
