DoubleTree by Hilton Carson 'Knocks It Out Of The Park' With Its All-New Scoreboard Lounge

With its close proximity to The StubHub Center, the Scoreboard Lounge displays Los Angeles Chargers and LA Galaxy memorabilia, along with California State University, Dominguez Hills and select Los Angeles sports teams

USA, Carson, California. February 19, 2018

DoubleTree by Hilton Carson “hits a homerun,” “sinks a hole in one,” “scores a goal” and “makes a touchdown;” no matter the metaphor, one thing is for certain, the nearly 4,500-square-feet new Scoreboard Lounge is a winner with guests and locals alike.

The all-new Scoreboard Lounge officially opened on January 31, 2018, and is a contemporary sports bar with 15 flat-screen, 50-inch televisions and accommodates more than 150 guests with comfortable indoor-outdoor seating including the poolside patio area and oversized fire pit.

The Scoreboard Lounge features local sports team memorabilia displayed on grey and white pattern wallpaper and intermingled with light grey walls. Plank tile flooring surrounds hexagon tile that highlights the more than 1,000-square-feet bar and leads to the more than 3,000-square-feet patio area. Seating is a generous mixture of comfortable wall-lined booths with various size tables on the floor all centered on a 16-by-4-foot communal table that can seat up to 12 guests.

“The all-new Scoreboard Lounge takes the best of our local sports teams and surrounding communities and creates a space for thrilling game day experiences as well as providing a welcome respite at the end of the work day for our guests,” says Greg Guthrie, General Manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Carson. “Underscoring the Scoreboard Lounge refurbishment, we have introduced a new menu as expected in a traditional sports bar setting that better serves our fans.”

Happy Hour at the Scoreboard Lounge is a local and guest favorite that offers daily discounts on appetizers, handcrafted margaritas, signature drinks including Oiltini and Petroleum Punch, and eight draft handles with several local and regional craft brews. Happy Hour runs Monday to Friday from 3:30-6:30 p.m. The Scoreboard Lounge menu, happy hour specials and daily food and drink specials are available in the pool area.

“The Scoreboard Lounge is also a natural setting for corporate gatherings, special occasions and group celebrations,” added Guthrie.

Due to its nearby location, DoubleTree by Hilton Carson is the official home to the LA Galaxy II visiting teams and is a fan and guest favorite to stay during events and sporting activities at The StubHub Center, California State University, Dominguez Hills and Carson Community Center.
