Room Renovation Underway at Ocean Place Resort & Spa
LONG BRANCH, NJ, August 23, 2005. Ocean Place Resort & Spa is currently undergoing a $1.2 million dollar room renovation, according to General Manager Hans Mulders.
The renovation began in early June and includes a complete soft-goods upgrade to the resort's 254 guest rooms. The rooms will be completely repainted in addition to new carpeting being installed. Room upgrades will include new headboards, Queen size mattresses and box springs, bedspreads and duvets, dust ruffles and accent pillows. According to Mulders, all beds will feature 200 double-spun thread count, 100% Egyptian cotton sheets. Additional decor includes lamps and nightstands, lounge chairs, drapes and shower curtains. All corridors and hallways have also been repainted. Estimated completion date is slated for the end of August 2005.
The resort also enhanced its outdoor market-style patio caf'e that overlooks the boardwalk, with oversized rattan chaise lounges, couches and chairs, sprinkled with a sea of red canvas umbrellas and teak furniture for dining. Surrounded by hundreds of towering palm trees, it's the perfect venue to dine al fresco, enjoy your favorite beverage at sunset and people watch. The resort also re-designed the sunken patio adjacent to the caf'e, giving it an additional 1500 square feet of outdoor special event and function space.
In addition, the recently opened Pier Village, a luxury residential and retail development complex adjacent to the resort, features more than 100,00 square feet of boutiques, specialty shops, cafes, restaurants and luxury rentals and complements the resort's existing amenities and activities.
