Conrad New York Downtown Names Christopher Skarstrom as Executive Chef
Conrad New York Downtown announced the appointment of Christopher Skarstrom as the Executive Chef of Lower Manhattan's only all-suite luxury hotel. In his new role, Skarstrom brings three decades of culinary expertise to the property's food and beverage offerings, including the rooftop bar Leonessa, the signature on-site restaurant ATRIO Wine Bar & Restaurant—where he will craft seasonal, farm-fresh menus—and in-room dining service.
Skarstrom joins the hotel from Tempo by Hilton New York Times Square, where he played a key role in the opening of Hilton's first Tempo by Hilton location. During his tenure at the hotel, he developed menus and kitchen systems for the 663-room property, trained and developed sous chefs and line cooks, and oversaw restaurant buyouts, including for the hotel's annual New Year's Eve gala dinners. His experience helped shape menu offerings, elevate operations, and deliver unforgettable dining experiences for local visitors and tourists alike.
