Pacific Reach Properties Rebrands Former Westin Grand Hotel to Hilton Vancouver Downtown

Pacific Reach Properties has announced the rebranding of the former Westin Grand Hotel to Hilton Vancouver Downtown.

Owned and operated by Pacific Reach Properties, the first Hilton Hotels & Resorts property in downtown Vancouver will leverage Hilton's brand equity to drive awareness in the marketplace, increase marketing efficiency across the global portfolio and offer the more than 110 million Hilton Honors members a new option for accommodations.

Hilton Vancouver Downtown is comprised of 206 guestrooms (primarily one-bedroom suites), more than 4,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, a 24-hour fitness facility and year-round heated outdoor pool overlooking Robson Street. Guests and locals can continue to enjoy Hendricks Resto-Lounge, a mix of old-school cocktail bar and full-service restaurant serving up the classics with a twist while overlooking vibrant Library Square.

In addition to the above highlights and as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hilton Vancouver Downtown is participating in the Hilton CleanStay Program to help guests enjoy a clean and safe experience during their stay. The new standards under Hilton CleanStay include a Hilton CleanStay Room Seal to show that a room has not been accessed since being thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, additional cleaning of common areas and items, contactless check-in, innovative disinfection technology and flexible housekeeping options.

Hilton Vancouver Downtown is also part of Hilton Honors, the award-winning guest-loyalty program for Hilton's 18 distinct hotel brands. Members who book directly have access to instant benefits, including a flexible payment slider that allows members to choose nearly any combination of Points and money to book a stay, an exclusive member discount, free standard Wi-Fi and the Hilton Honors mobile app.

To celebrate the hotel's opening, Hilton Honors members will earn 1,000 Bonus Points per night for stays between April 1, 2021 through September 30, 2021, when booking directly with Hilton.

Guest Service: Health and Safety First

Though expectations are that hotels will return to some semblance of normalcy in 2021, their highest priority must continue to be the health and safety of guests and employees. To that end, hotels are training their guest service personnel in enhanced cleaning routines, which include the following practices - bathrooms, elevator buttons, remote controls and other high-touch items, are disinfected and cleaned with a higher frequency; all tables, chairs and menus in restaurants are cleaned at a much higher frequency, and after each seating; floor markers in public areas to remind guests and team members to maintain physical distance; hand alcohol stations and disposable gloves in lobbies and restaurants; loose items such as pens, note pads and information material removed from rooms and meeting rooms; limiting the number of seats in restaurants and public areas; and revised food & beverage offerings. The April issue of the Hotel Business Review will review how guest service personnel are being trained to maintain health and safety protocols in their operations.
