Staying Relevant in a Fast Changing F&B Industry

Luxury travel was once associated with formality, but in today's modern world that notion is changing. More and more, high-end travelers are placing value on comfort, quality time, personalized service and unexpected experiences. These expectations apply to every aspect of the hotel-guest experience, particularly when it comes to dining.
To stay au courant, five-star resorts must challenge their perceptions of luxury food and wine by constantly developing new concepts that delight and surprise guests. Hotels can continuously surpass their guests' expectations by redefining industry standards.
Gone are the days of stuffy dinner jackets and full course meals in formal dining rooms. Today's young professionals are changing the world of luxury travel. When you look around high-end hotels and resorts, guests are seen walking around in designer athletic wear. They want to be comfortable when they travel.
To match these new standards, we have had to adapt. At Grace Bay Club, we recently tasked famed interior designer Thom Filicia with creating a welcoming and inclusive setting at our signature restaurant, Infiniti Restaurant and Raw Bar.
The island's natural beauty and luscious tropical surroundings were the inspiration for Filicia's vision of laidback luxury. The open-air restaurant embraces its surroundings echoing the sand and sea throughout its decor. Filicia's design concepts mix dynamic textures, fresh colors palettes and soft lighting to enhance the property's overall ambience. The combination delivers an elevated, more engaging experience for hotel and island visitors alike. We created a space that is classic, earthy and clean. Filicia's modern aesthetic is a natural fit for Grace Bay Club.
