Merging the Existing System into a Single Platform

A fundamental shift is underway in how we consume digital information. The web is transforming into an application-based interface delivering content and documents served up from the cloud. This trend has the potential to dramatically enhance guest's experiences while increasing hotel efficiency.
Guests will soon experience hotel brands as a unified and integrated experience across all their web enabled devices. Engaging, high-performing, flexible user interfaces will lead to better user-experiences and wider adoption by the travel and hospitality industry.
I'll attempt to shed light on how emerging mobile derived technologies can allow for truly unified systems. A single hotel web app will soon be capable of delivering streamlined experience for both guests and property staff alike. Service will include content management and deployment, aggregated social media feeds, guest communication options, ordering of guest services, and the discovery and access to local services.
The implementation of these new technologies in unison will facilitate a massive shift in the way we interact with our devices, each other, and the world around us. The way we think of the web and what a website is, is changing. Gone are the days that a website was simply a repository of information. Websites are no longer simply a series of online documents. Now we are able to put that information to use by applying it to create custom tailored experiences and to simplify and streamline processes. The new area of the Internet is about services and useful functionality that are tailored to your personal preferences and optimized for your location and devices.
