Sofitel's Key Essence of 'Wellness' on the Island of the Gods
By Sylvain Pasdeloup General Manager, Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort | July 03, 2016
Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort is the Sofitel brand's first presence in Bali, often dubbed the 'Island of the Gods'. The Resort has firmly established itself as a wellbeing destination, putting in much emphasis on one of the Sofitel brand's 'key essences' of hospitality, namely Wellness. It does so through the Sofitel luxury marque's So SPA, an ultramodern spa facility onsite at the resort, which is complemented in the 'fitness' aspect by the So FIT full-fledged gym and fitness facility. An added bonus, and unique to this Sofitel resort, is Vietura Aesthetic, a third-party operated skin rejuvenation clinic. The clinic works in close collaboration with the resort's existing facilities through its health and wellbeing staycation programs. This makes it one of the most complete wellbeing destination resorts on the island.
Asserting Sofitel's Key Essence of 'Wellness'
Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort launched in 2013 as a new luxury destination on the holidaying island of Bali, featuring a pristine beachfront location on Bali's most popular Nusa Dua enclave. The opening coincided with the APEC 2013 summit with delegates granted a first look into the well-appointed offerings of the resort, and with many more new features added subsequently, including the resort's two main wellbeing facilities, So SPA and So FIT.
Besides luxury accommodation with its rooms and suites, together with two signature dining venues, Kwee Zeen and Cut Catch Cucina which are on their own doing very well to contribute to the bottom line, the spa and fitness facilities proved a great success. In fact, So SPA, So FIT and the presence of third-party Vietura clinic has shaped up the overall image of our resort as a 'one-stop' wellbeing destination. Therefore, it is safe to say that the spa, gym and clinic, complemented by our food and beverage departments in tailoring healthy meals, have become up front and center in the range of offerings at Sofitel Bali.
Healthy lifestyles are an ongoing trend, and a majority of guests nowadays not only choose their hotel based on brand and location, but further pore over the many services and facilities that they can enjoy and experience during their stay. It just so happens that many of them either are avid spa-goers, set out to experience the many different signature treatments and overall spa experiences that each destination and resort has to offer, or simply would like to stay fit and in shape, sparing some time to work out even on their holidays.
The die-hard spa-goer may often further scrutinize, choosing a hotel based on its reputation as a spa destination, or based on the quality and offerings of its available spa services. So SPA and So FIT, being a Sofitel brand feature that is available worldwide, offers a reputation that is built solidly on the brand's unmissable French style, quality and luxury. Meanwhile, what sets one Sofitel resort in a certain destination to another on the other side of the globe, is simply the blending in of locally inspired elements in its range of spa treatments.
