. October 14, 2008

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, October 31, 2006. The Doubletree Hotel Minneapolis Park Place has proudly announced the successful completion of a multi million dollar renovation.

The extensive enhancement initiative included design, technology, amenity and service upgrades throughout the hotel -- including the hotel's new main entrance, public areas, 298 guestrooms, a newly reinvigorated restaurant and lounge, and more than 26,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event facilities.

The Doubletree Hotel Minneapolis Park Place is operated under a franchise agreement with Doubletree Hotel Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corporation and managed by Surrey Hotel Corporation. The reinvigorated hotel design was completed under the direction of BGX, Inc.

"From the moment you enter our front door to the relaxing atmosphere of our upgraded guestrooms, the new look of the Doubletree Hotel Minneapolis Park Place provides all of the contemporary comforts of a great home away from home," said Sandy Buonanni, hotel general manager. "This multi-million-dollar reinvestment in the Doubletree Hotel Minneapolis Park Place is a thank you to our local community and our longstanding clients for supporting our hotel as a great gathering place in the Twin Cities."

Just four miles from downtown Minneapolis, the Doubletree Hotel Minneapolis Park Place has been designed to radiate a reenergized sense of contemporary warmth and comfort. The hotel's lobby has been transformed with spacious new seating groups, a new front desk and a warm and contemporary art collection of abstracts with vibrant colors that reflect the Twin Cities.

Guestrooms have been completely redesigned with a rich array of gold tones and cherry woods and the brand's luxurious Sweet Dreams by Doubletree Sleep Experience -- an environment that encourages a restful night's sleep. Guestroom bathrooms have been enhanced with upgraded lighting, curved shower rods, updated fixtures, framed mirrors and new vanities with granite counters. Conveniences for business travelers include large workspaces, ergonomic seating, high-speed Internet access and in-room printing services.

With a refreshed collection of nearly 26,000 square feet of meeting and banquet facilities, the Doubletree Hotel Minneapolis Park Place is proud to offer one of the state's largest hotel ballrooms and a dedicated conference services staff that can assist with the most intimate of gatherings to the grandest of galas. From the spacious 5,512 sq. ft. Park Ballroom to an array of well-appointed meeting rooms and exhibit areas, the Doubletree Hotel Minneapolis Park place can accommodate events of 12 to 750 people with ease.

A beautiful five-story-high, open-air atrium sets the scene for Dover, the hotel's newly renovated restaurant and lounge. From a fantastic full breakfast buffet in the morning to fresh American food infused with the flare of the North Country in the evening, Dover provides the perfect place for a great dining experience.
