LONDON, UK, November 17, 2005. Libya's Minister of Tourism, His Excellency Mr Ammar Eltayef, met members of The Tourism Society today (Tuesday, November 15) and enjoyed a visit to a top UK visitor attraction.
One of a series of meetings during the day, the Minister's hour-long visit to the London Eye gave him an opportunity to meet key professionals from the UK tourism industry.
Hosting the meeting, Society President Lord Thurso said: 'Our members include consultants who have enormous experience of advising on tourism development both in the UK and overseas. As Libya begins to focus on developing tourism, this was an excellent way of showcasing not only a successful home-grown visitor attraction, but also introducing the Minister to some of these specialists.'
