Hilton's Anthony Nieves to be BITAC Keynote Speaker

AUGUST 13, 2009 - Hotel Interactive, Inc, is pleased announce Anthony S. Nieves, SVP Supply Management with Hilton Hotels Corporation(R) will be delivering a keynote speech at the upcoming BITAC Purchasing and Design West(R), to be held October 18 - 20 at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego.

Nieves is a well respected leader in the lodging industry and for more than a decade has overseen end-to-end supply management services and solutions for all properties within the Hilton family of brands. BITAC, also known as the Buyer Interactive Trade Alliance and Conference, are a unique opportunity for buyers and suppliers to relationship-build while participating in one-on-one matchmaking-style meetings.

Nieves will discuss changes in the supply chain as well as some of the challenges Hilton has faced and practical solutions to prevent impact on the guest experience. He'll also discuss the evolution of purchasing and how he sees the future unfolding.

"This recessionary period has changed our approach to sourcing and purchasing products for our hotels," said Nieves. "It is possible to take a rational approach to purchasing even in the downtimes without comprising on quality."

Nieves will discuss changes in the supply chain as well as some of the challenges Hilton has faced and the solutions he and his team have come up with to prevent impact on the guest experience. He'll also discuss the evolution of purchasing and how he sees the future unfolding.

Additionally, he directs the formulation and implementation of corporate procurement policies and procedures.
