Go Green Twice a Year
KANSAS CITY, MO, January 5, 2007. Celebrate all things Irish--or Irish for the day-more than once a year by making plans to visit one of the nation's largest Irish festivals. More than 69,000 men, women, and children celebrated the Kansas City Irish Fest in 2006, and festival organizers plan to offer folks plenty more to enjoy this coming Labor Day weekend. The 2007 Irish Fest will dance to life August 31-September 2, in Crown Center Square, located at the world headquarters of Hallmark Cards in Downtown Kansas City.
The festival celebrates the city's deep Irish roots with three main stages featuring more than 15 bands, Irish comedians, extensive children's activities, ethnic food, heritage displays, workshops and a Feis, or Irish dance competition. The festival also features an Irish Fest 5-kilometer run and an outdoor Catholic Mass on Sunday morning.
It's not too early to make your Labor Day travel arrangements. Plan your trip on www.kcirishfest.com or call (816) 997-0837.
