. October 14, 2008

JACKSON, NH, January 12, 2007. "We are delighted Mother Nature has finally begun to show her true winter colors and has brought us snow. With over three inches of new snow, more coming, colder temperatures, plus the continuous snow-guns blasting, Wildcat Mountain has very nice conditions." stated Jerry Jacobson, hotel manager. Jacobson went on to add, "We want to reassure our guests we have good skiing available and we are prepared to stand by our Wildcat ski packages with this unique no-risk offer." Details of the no risk ski offer can be found on the hotel's website at www.EagleMt.com/Wildcat.

Wildcat offers their skiers a "Super Snow Guarantee" and Eagle Mountain House hotel guests who are not completely satisfied with the trail conditions, simply return their lift-ticket to the mountain's Guest Services office within one hour of arriving at the mountain and will be given a "SnowCheck" which is good for another 2006/2007 lift ticket. When the hotel guest presents their "SnowCheck" to the Eagle Mountain House front desk, they will receive a 50% discount on their next stay at the hotel, which even includes a free breakfast.

The Eagle Mountain House has a rich history of being involved with Mt. Washington Valley skiing. In 1937 ski-meister Beno Rybizka ran the first organized skiing in the Mount Washington Valley on the 9th hole of the hotel's golf course. Rybizka had come from the Hannes Schneider Ski School of St. Anton-am-Arlberg, Austria to start Carroll Reed's Eastern Slope Region Ski School headquartered in Jackson Village.

The October 2006 issue of Ski Magazine stated "Wildcat Mountain is rated #1 for scenery in North America, #1 for terrain in NH, and #1 for challenge and value in the Mt. Washington Valley." Skiers can access the 4,062 ft. mountain summit in just 6 minutes via New England's most powerful Quad chairlift. Up to date Wildcat ski conditions can be found on their web site, www.skiwildcat.com.
