Celebrate Easter San Diego Style with Red Marlin's Brunch Buffet

. March 28, 2011

It's time to don your bonnets and straighten your bowties, because Red Marlin at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina is putting on its Sunday best this Easter. On April 24, the award-winning restaurant will be serving up a coastal brunch buffet perfect for the whole family and complimentary festive activities for kids.

Hyatt Regency Mission Bay's fourth annual Children's Underwater Easter Egg Hunt, with colored eggs hidden in the pool, around the pool deck and lawn areas, will begin at 10 a.m. as well as an egg decorating contest starting at 2 p.m. And, throughout brunch, the Easter Bunny will take a break from its egg-hiding duties and make surprise visits to the restaurant. The Easter children's activities are complimentary to Red Marlin brunch patrons and guests of the hotel.

“Red Marlin's waterfront location, with amazing views of Mission Bay, makes it an exceptional San Diego location to enjoy Easter and an eggs-travagant meal,” said Chef de Cuisine Danny Bannister of Red Marlin. “Our menu features traditional Easter dishes made with fresh spring ingredients as well as customary brunch favorites.”

The menu includes morning favorites you will love even more than festive colored eggs, such as Gourmet Omelets, Mission Bay Eggs Benedict, Waffles made to order, and Einstein Bagels with lox and smear. As crisp and refreshing as a pastel bowtie, the menu also includes a Farm Fresh Salad Station and C-Food Display with California rolls, shrimp and oysters. It wouldn't be a true Easter banquet without hot and fresh ham, carved to your liking. Guests will have their choice of Thyme Honey Glazed Bone-In Ham, Balsamic Glazed Sirloin, Rosemary and Garlic-Infused Leg of Lamb, Oven Poached Salmon and Crispy Skin Chicken. For a sweet finish, guests can end their meal with something even more satisfying than a chocolate bunny, such as Carrot Cake, Mini Pastries, Chocolate Cakes and assorted Cookies.

In addition to the adult buffet, children will enjoy a feast worthy of Peter Cottontail, with menu items including Pepperoni Pizza, Chicken Nuggets, Corn on the Cob and Cheesy Mac.

Red Marlin's Easter Brunch Buffet will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, and is $55 per person, $26 for kids within the ages of 5-12 (children 4 and under are free). Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling 619-221-4868. For more information about Red Marlin, visit www.redmarlinrestaurant.com.
