Kimpton Appoints Assistant GM of the Muse New York

NEW YORK, NY, January 31, 2008. Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, the leading boutique hotel company in the United States, recently appointed Linda Chin as the new assistant general manager of The Muse New York. Located in the heart of Times Square, the luxurious hotel recently completed a $12 million room renovation. In her position as assistant general manager, Chin will assist Thomas Mathes, the general manager, in overseeing operations of the 200 room hotel.

"Linda brings more than a decade of hotel experience to her new position, including extensive experience with Kimpton," said Thomas Mathes, general manager of the hotel. "She is a valuable asset to our team."

Prior to joining The Muse New York, Chin was a senior manager with Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. Starting as the Director of Sales & Marketing for the Canadian properties, she has overseen successful branding of the Pacific Palisades Hotel, Zin Restaurant & Lounge (both in Vancouver), and the Summit Lodge & Spa (in Whistler). Most recently, Chin was Hotel Manager of the Pacific Palisades Hotel, where she was a passionate leader and friend to the over 150 hotel staff.

Chin holds a Diploma for Tourism Marketing from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and a Degree in Hospitality Management from Vancouver Community College. At Kimpton, Chin is actively involved with non-for-profit partner Dress for Success and acts as the property's Eco-Champion for the EarthCare initiative, supporting sustainable business practices that reduce environmental impact.
