Key West Inn Brand Experiences 30% Growth
AUGUST 9, 2007. Over the last twelve months Key West Inns has added four hotels to the brand's portfolio. As part of the growth strategy, Key West Inns modified the royalty fees structure and added additional services. Over the last twelve months the hotel chain has experienced the highest growth in the chain's history. The Key West Inn concept was developed in 1989 by Cory Jackson, Sr. .Mr. Jackson's son Neal Jackson now acts as Brand President and Franchise Director.
Key West Inns is a South Florida themed hotel chain, designed for high curb appeal. New construction hotels are lightly accented with the architecture of Key West, Florida. That theme is continued inside the hotel in the public areas and guestrooms. "The look and feel of our hotels relates to old South Florida with a classic design", states Neal Jackson,
However, with two locations under construction, the conversion opportunities are very popular. Two former Best Western hotels have converted to Key West Inns. One in Baxley, Georgia and the other one in Roanoke, Alabama. "There is no reason why hotel owners should be forced to pay high franchise fees and get little or no service" states Mr. Jackson. "The Key West Inn program is designed to give the hotel extra attention, a strong reservation system, while charging roughly 20 to 50% less franchisees fees than our competitors."
In 2006, Key West Inns added the chains most popular program, the Franchisee Success Coach. Brain Robinson, acts as the chains FSC or Franchisee Success Coach. Mr. Robinson travels to each Key West Inn every ninety days to perform local marketing and in house training programs. The FSC performs yield and revenue management training with the Owner / General Manger to ensure the hotels take advantage of all revenue opportunities. In the first six months, the Key West Inn FSC program resulted in a 25% increase in the chain's revenue.
Key West Inns plans to add another ten locations by the end of 2007. Focusing on Southeastern states, Key West Inns is looking for qualified hotel owners to discuss multiple Key West Inn development and exclusive territories. Mr. Jackson states, "Key West Inn locations are available in most cities, while other brands are experiencing impact issues, premium hotel locations for Key West Inns are currently available.
