Elaine Gamer Joins NYLO in Plano
JULY 12, 2007. NYLO Hotels, creator of a new class of hotels in the lodging category of lifestyle hotels with loft accommodations, announced the appointment of Elaine Gamer as Director of Sales and Marketing for its inaugural property situated in the heart of Plano's thriving Legacy community.

A 21-year hospitality veteran, Gamer is responsible for all sales andmarketing activities for leisure, business and group travel at NYLOPlano. As NYLO hotels' first property, Gamer is an integral part of theinception of the NYLO brand and is in the process of developing a salesteam which will then form a group of potential Sales Managers to growwith the hotel and brand. Well qualified to lead a sales team inmaximizing revenue for the property, Gamer most recently served as theDirector of Sales for W Dallas - Victory. In her position, Gamer wasresponsible for effectively implementing all sales for the hotel priorto its opening, successfully budgeting and forecasting the revenues forrooms, banquets and catering, as well as working closely with the sales, catering and convention services teams. Gamer hired the Sales and Catering Teams and was responsible for successfully opening the hotel. She was also the Pre-Opening Director of Sales for the W Dallas-Victory, with 252 guestrooms and 144 Residences, an integral addition to the Starwood brand as it was the first mixed use W Hotel.
Gamer's noteworthy career also extends to the Westin Calgary, the Radisson Hotels and Resorts of Winnipeg, Crowne Plaza Winnipeg Downtown, The Fairmont Lombard Hotel of Winnipeg, and The Westin Hotel of Winnipeg, where she held the Director of Sales and Marketing position. A graduate of the University of Manitoba, Gamer then went on to earn her MBA from the University of Guelph, in Guelph Ontario, from the School of Tourism and Hospitality in 2005. For several years Gamer has participated incommunity service work in Calgary by assisting with a program throughWestin Hotels and the Canadian Cancer Society to provide complimentaryrooms for families during the treatments for their loved ones.
