Whiteface Lodge Resort & Spa Appoints Phyllis Leslie as Director of Spa & Wellness
LAKE PLACID, NY, July 9, 2007. Olivier Bottois, chief operating officer of The Whiteface Lodge Resort & Spa, the Adirondack region's newest luxury resort and private residence club, has announced the appointment of Phyllis Leslie as director of spa and wellness. In her position, Leslie oversees operations of the new Adirondack-style spa, and will develop lifestyle and wellness programs for owners and guests of the resort.
The Spa at the Whiteface Lodge is an intimate 5,800-square-foot mountain hideaway that combines the rustic beauty of the region with classic Zen details. The Spa offers treatments that draw on the Adirondacks' rich natural history and culture, and incorporate local ingredients including maple, juniper and other botanicals.

Leslie brings more than 30 years of spa and wellness knowledge to The Whiteface Lodge. Her experience in the spa industry includes positions as spa consultant at The Resort at Paws Up in Greenough, Montana, and sales associate at Elite Resorts & Spas in Los Angeles. Most recently, she served as spa manager at The Spa at Whitefish Lake in Whitefish, Montana.
Leslie's professional background also includes posts in Los Angeles as promotions specialist for Lanc^ome Cosmetics and group coordinator at Meeting Link. Prior to that, she was sales coordinator at Festival of Brides in Marina del Rey, California. She began her career with the La Clinique de Beaut'e Skin Care Salon in Claremont, California, a salon which she owned and operated from 1983 to 1997.
Leslie received Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees from California State University in Pomona. She is an American Fitness and Aerobic Association certified personal trainer and a licensed esthetician. She resides in Lake Placid, N.Y.
