Avasara Helps Wynn to Deliver the Ultimate in Service for Macau Guests
Sophisticated hotel and gaming system drives profitability
MACAU SAR, China, July 7. 2007. Avasara Consulting, a leading provider of information technology services for the hospitality and casino industries in Asia, has been selected by Wynn Resorts (Macau), S.A., to provide services for the commissioning and implementation of its hotel systems.
As part of the agreement, Avasara is responsible for the configuration, training and implementation of the full range of hotel systems at Wynn Macau. As the primary means for delivering guest services and driving profitability through business operations and analysis, adapting systems and processes to the unique business requirements in Macau is critical.
"This implementation is a prime example of how advanced technology is being leveraged in the hospitality industry to improve services and address increasing needs for more advanced and easy-to-use hotel services," said Greg Stockdale, Managing Director for Avasara.
Core systems in the project include Micros for property management and food and beverage operations; IGT gaming and customer relationship management; New Market sales and catering; and Pegasus for travel agent and web bookings processed through and the global distribution system (GDS).
Hotels and casinos in Macau face the challenge of implementing a range of sophisticated hotel and gaming systems on a tight project timeline. Based on their industry knowledge and experience managing projects in the Asia Pacific region, Avasara was able to respond to this challenge and contributed to the successful opening of Wynn Macau.
To achieve this level of success, Avasara began working with Wynn Macau business users and IT team in January 2006. Working directly with stake-holders to forge consensus on goals and responsibilities of all parties, a framework for monitoring and measuring progress throughout the project was created. Avasara then provided a dedicated team of experienced professionals to supplement resources from the client and vendor at each critical phase of the project, from system configuration to software and hardware installation, quality assurance (QA) testing, user training, and Live cutover.
"We believe real value is created through the design, implementation and use of technology as an enabler for sound business strategy, not simply through investment in the underlying hardware and software," said Stockdale.
