Todd A. Moyer Appointed GM at Diamond Jo

. October 14, 2008

JUNE 22, 2007. Todd A. Moyer has been appointed General Manager at Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque, Iowa.

Moyer comes to Diamond Jo Casino with over 17 years experience in the Nevada and Atlantic City gaming markets. He most recently worked for Donald J. Trump in Atlantic City as Senior Vice President of Marketing at Trump Marina Hotel Casino.

Moyer takes over the helm as Diamond Jo Casino prepares to break ground on its $70 million, 140,000 square foot complex in the Port of Dubuque. The Diamond Jo Casino and entertainment complex is the largest project in Phase II of America's River. The new entertainment center will include a full service casino, a state-of-the-art bowling and entertainment complex with several dining options. The new facility will open in summer 2008. Moyer will spearhead this exciting new casino venture, which is expected to draw new customers to the area, and ultimately grow the Dubuque gaming market.

Moyer earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, and currently resides in Dubuque with his wife and children.

The Diamond Jo Casino, located at the Port of Dubuque is among Dubuque's largest employers and an integral America's River Phase II partner. The Diamond Jo Casino is owned and operated by Peninsula Gaming, LLC, which also operates the Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood, Iowa and Old Evangeline Downs in Opelousas, Louisiana.

Iowa's 13 commercial casinos are collectively the largest tourist attraction in the state continuing to draw more than 20 million visitors per year. That number is expected to increase within the next 18 months with the opening of four new casinos in Iowa, including the new Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque. Conservative estimates indicate that the overall reinvestment in the Iowa economy due to these millions of visits is significant, since more than half of the people who play at Iowa's casinos are from other states; primarily Nebraska, Minnesota, Illinois and Wisconsin, as noted in an Analysis of Casino Gaming conducted by Cummings Associates, prepared for the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission (IRGC). The IRGC recently released its annual report on casino gaming showing a statewide economic impact of $1.15 billion dollars for 2006; that took into account the collective total of employee wages, charitable contributions, gaming taxes, and Iowa-based purchases.
