Denys Courtier, New General Manager At Gran Hotel La Florida, Barcelona
BARCELONA, Spain, July 27, 2005. Denys Courtier, of French nationality and previously General Manager of the Hotel Lancaster in Paris, has joined the Gran Hotel La Florida in Barcelona as General Manager. Gran Hotel la Florida is a member of The Stein Group, the prestigious collection of small luxury hotels in Europe.
A dynamic individual, Denys Courtier brings with him a wealth of knowledge and strong experience based on nearly 20 years in the luxury hotel market, with an emphasis on Operations, Sales and Marketing.
Courtier started his career as Director of Sales for various 4 and 5 star hotels in Brussels and later as Resident Manager of the 5-star Hotel Villa Magna, a Park Hyatt hotel, in Madrid. Most recently he was the General Manager of the 57-room Hotel Lancaster in Paris and Resident Manager for the Hotel Park Hyatt Paris Vend^ome. Mr. Courtier speaks six languages, including fluent Spanish.
After a large period of renovation work to restore the original 1925 'noucentist' building, Gran Hotel La Florida opened its doors in April 2003 and due to its privileged location, is considered Barcelona's only luxury urban resort.
