Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco Captures City's New Heart
Fourth Anniversary of Hotel Celebrates Four Blocks of Four Seasons
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, September 19, 2005. A historic change is taking place among San Francisco's landscape as the city continues its revitalization efforts along the Market Street corridor - bringing the new heart of the city to the doorstep of Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco.
With the approaching four-year anniversary of Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco in October, Hotel Manager, Dan Normandin celebrates the achievements of the property, while touting the company's commitment to the area, which began before the bloom of Yerba Buena Gardens and the flourish of luxury retailers and businesses in the four blocks surrounding the hotel.
"Since our opening in 2001, we have watched this area develop and thrive. We continue welcoming new neighbours along the way. Every year, we have become more fulfilled about our dedication to this neighborhood, and the progress it has generated for the city as a whole," he said. "We look forward to the areas continued development and prosperity - along with the successes of our newest neighbors."
As the first luxury hotel in the Yerba Buena neighborhood, the hotel has clearly played a key role in the area's further development. In summer of 2005, the opening of Yerba Buena Lane created a pedestrian pathway and shopping beacon promising to infuse the neighbourhood with a heightened level of luxury, relative to what Nob Hill used to represent, but with a more contemporary, accessible approach. In 2006, a new Bloomingdales will anchor the expanded Westfield Shopping Centre located just steps away from the hotel on Market Street. The recently revived Ferry Building and Farmers Market offer a gateway to the city's famed food scene, and infuse the menu at Seasons Restaurant with fresh, light California cuisine.
Embracing the cultural and arts attractions of the Yerba Buena neighborhood, Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco offers a perfectly centred vantage point of chic shopping and high-end dining of Union Square. The trend of the mixed-use tower, introduced to the San Francisco market by Four Seasons Hotel and Residences has created a new echelon of residential excellence and the latest definition of luxury living, while shifting not only the city's center, but also its mind set to the future.
