Daniel Guerrero Appointed Director Of Public Relations For Kor Hotel Group
MAY 22, 2007. Tom Santora, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Kor Hotel Group, the Los Angeles-based hotel, real estate development and management firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Guerrero as Director of Public Relations. In this position, Guerrero will direct company strategies to engage media, consumers and key market segments both nationally and globally for Kor Hotel Group's impressive hotel portfolio and related corporate divisions.

'As Kor continues to expand its Viceroy and Tides brands worldwide, an awareness of each resort's coveted location is integral to its identity and pivotal in understanding the brands' appeal. Daniel possesses a tremendous insight into this dynamic.'
Among Guerrero's first initiatives is the positioning and promotion of Kor's new luxury brands, Viceroy and The Tides. Kor's over-all strategy relies greatly on public relations. Guerrero's solid destination marketing and media relations savvy will allow Kor to leverage his CVB relationships and integrated-marketing background to successfully position these two brands.
Guerrero's other initiatives include the expansion of the company's public relations and media presence worldwide. First priority is the establishment of a Mexico City media relations office, allowing the promotion of Kor Hotel Group's profile and its dynamic Mexican portfolio, which includes The Tides Riviera Maya and Villa del Sol in Zihuatanejo. Other markets being targeted for expansion include the United Kingdom and South America.
Guerrero joins Kor Hotel Group with a strong background in destination management/ marketing, with special expertise in global media relations and marketing cooperative partnerships. Most recently he served as Director of Communications for the West Hollywood Marketing Corporation/ Convention & Visitors Bureau in Southern California. Through successful and creative media relations campaigns, strategic marketing partnerships and contributions to the organization's international sales and marketing efforts, he contributed significantly to West Hollywood's emerging brand name as a lifestyle and travel destination.
A native of San Diego, California, Guerrero holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science & Administrative Studies with a Marketing Concentration from the University of California, Riverside and has completed management training programs at Harvard Business School and UCLA's Anderson School of Management.
