Educational Institute Training Available on iPod
ORLANDO, FL, May 21, 200. Employees watching iPods(R) on the job? That's not necessarily a problem, as long as the iPod(R) is loaded with hospitality training content from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (EI). Through a new collaboration with p.o.d. TrainingTM (Portable On-Demand Training), hospitality employers can now purchase a unique new training system designed to capture the attention of a new generation of workers.
The Portable Hotel Trainer, available in both Full Service and Limited Service versions, features content from EI's training videos, broken down into short segments ideal for pre-shift sessions, reinforcement, and ongoing training. The portable media player allows training to be brought into the work area, where employees can watch a clip on the iPod(R), then immediately practice the skill. The "play list" feature enables trainers and trainees to target the exact training content needed, instead of watching through an entire video to find one piece of information.
