GreenTree Inn Acquires 100th Hotel in China
GreenTree Inn is the foreign invested upscale value hotel chain
SHAGHAI, China, May 21, 2007. GreenTree Inn, the first foreign owned, upscale value business hotel chain in China, announced its 100th hotel addition.
Ever since its establishment in 2004, GreenTree Inn has been targeting its product and services to China's fast growing business travelers. So far, 30 hotels are in operations; 50 hotels will be opened in the next three months; another 20+ are contracted. GreenTree Inn easily increased its hotel holdings to 100.
These outstanding hotel properties are located in Yangtze River Delta Area, South China Region, Tianjin, Beijing and other highly developed cities. At the same time, expansion will continue in Mid, Southwest and Northwest China regions.
According to the professor from the Hotel Management Department of Shanghai Normal University, the 100th hotel is an important benchmark for China hotel chain. With the number of hotel increases, the centralized management and operating cost per hotel decreases and the overall profit margin will improve rapidly.
"The fast growth of GreenTree Inn is due in large part to its continuous effort in personnel and management training" said Alex Xu, chairman and CEO of GreenTree Inns Hotel Management Group, who has studied and worked in the US for twenty years and manage several companies. In 2004, he founded GreenTree Inns Hotel Management Group.
Another significant fact is that GreenTree Inn only took two and half years to complete its 100th hotel portfolio while similar hotel chains took twice as long or longer. GreenTree Inn's quick expansion rate and the initial success do not lie in aggressive acquisition and marketing, but in its persistent staff training and natural growth. GreenTree Inn is also the first hotel chain to form a joint venture training program with China's best hotel university - Shanghai Institute of Tourism for budget hotel managers. All of these efforts are to insure that GreenTree Inn's goal - to provide low price, high value hospitality service to its core business travelers to be met with consistency.
Recently, GreenTree Inn was awarded the 2007 Golden Pillow Award for the Best Business Hotel Chain in China. The improving service standard and maturing management team will make GreenTree Inn a much stronger hotel brand.
