Accor North America Names SVP Tech Services and Construction

MAY 4, 2007. Accor North America, one of the largest hotel chain owner and operators in North America, announces the promotion of Robert Moore to Senior Vice President of Technical Services and New Construction for Accor Business and Leisure. Moore's primary responsibilities include new construction, capital investments, renovations, maintenance, safety and energy management for Accor's business and leisure brands - Sofitel, Novotel and Ibis.

Since joining Accor as Technical Director for Novotel UK in 1987, Moore's tenure with the company has taken him from London to North America, Belgium to Holland, and from Germany back to the UK in 1996 as Director of Technical Services for Accor UK and Ireland Hotels. In May of 2000, Robert returned to North America as Vice President of Technical Services for ABL.

Moore holds a degree in Mechanical and Marine Engineering from Liverpool College. Prior to joining Accor, he worked for Cunard Shipping and Four Seasons Hotels. Moore is an active member of the ABL Operations Committee and is heavily involved in Accor's sustainable development efforts as they relate to energy efficiency and the environment. In 1993, Moore was honored with Accor's Bernache Award for Management of People.
