Windsor Management Services Signs Comprehensive Package with Homewood Suites La Quinta
Comprehensive management package is a first in the area and the company
LA QUINTA, CA, July 21, 2005. Windsor Management Services' agreement with the owners of the Homewood Suites La Quinta represents this corporate division's first management contract since its parent company, Windsor Hospitality Group, launched it. The hotel will also be the first property in the Palm Springs area to fly the Homewood Suites flag. This is a promising first for both. It is scheduled to open in mid-August 2006.
"WMS was selected after considerable deliberation as the company to manage both the Homewood Suites and adjoining Casita complex," says WMS Managing Director Dawson Hubert. "WMS will be the exclusive rental agent for the Casitas and will assume full responsibility for the hotel's daily operation. We are currently providing pre-opening consultation, while acting as the rental agent. Once the property is open and operating, we will assume all management responsibilities."
Hubert clarifies that "pre-opening services" includes overseeing the property's operational concerns and providing input on the structural concerns from an operator's perspective. From Hubert taking residence near the site until the development is complete, to WMS's insistence on face-to-face accountability, the company takes this job seriously.
"We are participating in continuing series of meetings to ensure that everyone involved in the development is achieving all of the Homewood Suites brand standards through every step. We also review the construction plans and consult on the furniture, fixtures and equipment selection and delivery." Their focus, he says, is on making sure the structure works well for the guests and the owners alike.
